Partial Hospitalization Program

As you step down from the Residential Treatment program, Fountain Hills Recovery’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) allows patients to attend intensive therapy and holistic programming by day while continuing to reside at home or at a local sober living accommodation during substance abuse recovery. If you do not require an intensive inpatient stay or are not eligible for residential treatment, PHP could be the ideal solution for you.A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. At Fountain Hills Recovery, our PHP has structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

Our PHP program is a structured, therapeutic program that assists in transitioning patients from an acute psychiatric setting to a more independent life in the community. The program is designed to increase and maintain the therapeutic gains individuals have made as patients in the hospital and teach important applications of positive behaviors in a real-like setting. Studies show that an effective PHP may also help prevent the need for future hospitalizations. PHP is tailored to meet each individual’s needs and provides direction and tools that each participant can use in their daily lives.
