Fountain Hills Recovery believes in the power of recovery through healing the mind, body and soul together as one. Together with addiction medicine physicians and therapists, Fountain Hills Recovery provides additional options for clients to enhance recovery, including holistic rehab therapies. Holistic medicine, also referred to as integrative health, is a form of healing that integrates conventional & alternative therapies to treat the entirety of the patient. Holistic treatment methods can include a number of touch-based, activity-based, or energy-based modalities. Often these are referred to as “integrative” or “alternative” therapies. Some holistic treatments like massage, yoga, mindfulness, meditation and creative play are scientifically proven to reduce symptoms of stress, depression, anxiety, and cravings for substances.
Holistic treatment methods offered by Fountain Hills Recovery include:
Creative arts therapy
Life skills therapy
Yoga + Mindfulness
Jacob Daffner of Spiritually Fit provides yoga and meditation services specifically geared to those in varying stages of the addiction recovery process.
Jacob has a deep understanding of the recovery process, and incorporates this knowledge into their own lives. He is certified in yoga and meditation and has undergone specific and intensive training to provide the best possible experience for people in the early stages of the recovery process detox, inpatient, and outpatient treatment.
While the yoga helps with the body, the meditation helps with the mind. Creating some peace, calm, clarity, and serenity before patients make what are bound to be life changing decisions. People face multiple challenges in early recovery including urges to use, stress, and varying emotions.
We emphasize that whatever is going on, wherever they are, clients always have their breath and their body. These are tools they can use to feel better, calm down, and make it through challenging periods of time without the need to pick up or act out in unhealthy ways.
Our philosophy is simple love yourself, challenge your body, calm your mind, and connect your spirit.
